Google API Disclosure

Last updated: August 15, 2026

mintshorts.ai uses Google OAuth 2.0 and the YouTube Data API v3 only when a user chooses to connect a YouTube channel and enable YouTube publishing. Connecting YouTube is optional.

Google data we access

We do not request or store a user's Google password, YouTube viewing history, comments, subscriptions, analytics, or advertising data.

How we use Google data

We use the channel name and identifier to show the user which channel is connected. We use OAuth tokens only to upload videos that the user has configured for automatic publishing, including the generated title, description, tags, visibility, audience designation, and schedule. Google user data is not used for advertising, sold, or used to train AI models.

Storage, sharing, and security

OAuth tokens and the connected channel details are stored in an access-controlled database, protected in transit with TLS and by our hosting provider's encryption at rest. Access is limited to the server-side processes required to operate the connected-account and publishing features.

We do not sell Google user data. We share it only with infrastructure providers acting on our behalf when necessary to operate mintshorts.ai, subject to confidentiality and security obligations, or when required by law. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

User control, revocation, and deletion

A user can select Disconnect beside YouTube in dashboard settings at any time. This revokes the Google OAuth grant, deletes the stored tokens and channel details, and stops future YouTube publishing. Disconnecting mintshorts.ai does not delete videos already stored on YouTube; those can be managed in YouTube Studio.

Users can also revoke access from their Google Account permissions. If we learn that access has been revoked or a token can no longer be refreshed, we stop using the connection and delete its stored Google API data. Users may request deletion of their account and associated data by emailing cs@xrdivision.com. We process verified deletion requests as soon as possible and within seven calendar days.
